Patch 9.6.3 Tomorrow

Dear players,

tomorrow, 9.6.3 minipatch will come to EU and RU servers (possibly NA as well). This patch will bring only one new feature: the option to log into World of Tanks using social networks.

  1. Wait what?
So I can log in using my youtube/facebook account which is in no way connected to world of tanks? Big new actually.
    Maybe I'm misunderstanding though.

    3. It only became available on NA after the 9.6 update.

      Social Network Login

A new feature for the game client pilot-tested on the NA server lets you create a World of Tanks account or log in "one-click" style using Facebook or Google+ accounts. Install and start World of Tanks as usual, and the login screen will display the option to use these services to log in. Set up the account binding, and go! Here's some fast facts on this feature:

      Social network login DOES...
o Let you start World of Tanks without typing email addresses and passwords
o Make it easier to switch accounts and play if you share a computer (i.e., families)
o Let you log in if you forget your World of Tanks password (password resets are still encouraged!)
      o Save time!

      Social network login DOES NOT...
x Skip account registration (you will be asked to create an account to establish the social network link)
      x Post status updates
      x Upload/share screenshots or replays
x Permanently bind social and Wargaming accounts (you can always unbind in Account Management)
x Give Wargaming any personal information
x Affect account security (Accounts remain separate at a basic level. Always keep your passwords safe and unique!)

  3. NA already has this feature :) So I doubt we'll need to update.

  4. You just destroyed 1 friendly tank, drowned yourself and got a wn8 of 180. Do you want to share it with Facebook? "Hell yeah I'm noob and the world has to see it".

    Or:

You can't play WoT now! You used all of your energy.
Pay 1,99$ to buy 4 more energy to play!

    3. @Vipez: The whole "used all your energy" thing is hillarious. Although, I actually wouldn't be surprised if that's WarGaming's next attempt to squeeze as much money from its playerbase as possible... XD

  8. Well we here at the lowly SEA server aren't even allowed the option to save our log in information. But please Rita, SS was very bad for forgetting us when mentioning upcoming stuff. He would always say stuff just like you did there "Update tomorrow for EU and RU servers (possible US too)" like thats all the servers there are!
    Im so lonely! *sniff* :(

  9. This update is annoying :( 600MB for a login minipatch... yeah. And it failed twice already, having to retry (starting the download back at 0 both times :(
No tanks for me today :(
